Subscribers

The first step to get paid on YouTube through your Channel is by ensuring that you have gotten over 1,000 subscribers. This adds credibility to you and shows you at least have some level of visibility and following. Viewing Hours

To even begin to think on how to make money on YouTube, you must have content. Your ability to do this successfully goes a long way in determining how excited people would be about subscribing to your Channel. Once you have the necessary videos, the next requirement is that your content must have had a total of four thousand view hours.

To break it down further, the videos on your Channel must have a cumulative viewing time of at least 4 hours in twelve months to qualify you for the YouTube Partners Program

First, you should go through the community guidelines to ensure you are adhering to their policies before going ahead to sign up by following these simple steps

  • Sign in to YouTube.
  • In the top right, select your account icon > Creator Studio.
  • In the left menu, select Channel> Status and features.
  • Under “Monetization,” click Enable.
  • Follow the on-screen steps.

Afterward, YouTube would review your application and would approve if you meet their guidelines. In not more than four weeks, your application would have been reviewed and their decision communicated via mail. If approved, you have moved even closer to setting your Channel up for money-making on YouTube

Get paid for Ads on your channel

After your application has been reviewed and approved, you are now eligible to make money on YouTube. The process entails that Ads are placed on your Channel by YouTube. It falls on you now to continually upload the right content to give your Channel more visibility and make it an attractive source for Google Display Ads, thus earning you a ton of cash along the way.
